Who we are
This website is run by Amelia Babidge, trading as Fusco Studio (ABN 39 596 248 058), 5 Birchall Rd, Goolwa Beach SA 5214, Australia. We are responsible for (the “controller” of) the personal data described here. For anything about your data, email hello@fusco-studio.com.
We work with clients in Australia, Europe and elsewhere, so we follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for visitors in the EU, as well as the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- When you use the contact form: your name, email address and your message.
- When you book a call: the details you enter in the Cal.com booking calendar (usually your name, email and any notes). The calendar only loads if you choose to show it.
- When you email, call or message us (including on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook): whatever you choose to send us, and your contact details.
- When you become a client: the information we need to run your project and invoice you, such as your business name, contact details and billing details.
- Technical data: like every website, our hosting provider records basic request data (such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to deliver the site and keep it secure.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website, and we don’t build profiles of visitors.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote: because you asked us to (steps before a contract, GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- To deliver a project and invoice it: to perform our contract with you (art. 6(1)(b)) and to meet our tax and accounting obligations (art. 6(1)(c)).
- To run and protect the website: our legitimate interest in a secure, working site (art. 6(1)(f)).
We never sell your data, and we don’t send marketing emails unless you’ve asked for them.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf, only for the purposes above:
- Netlify (United States): hosts this website.
- Formspree (United States): receives contact form messages and forwards them to us.
- Cal.com (United States): runs the booking calendar, only if you choose to load it.
- Our email provider: stores the emails we send and receive.
- Meta (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook): only if you contact us through those apps.
Some of these providers, and we ourselves, are outside the European Economic Area. Where your data is transferred outside the EEA, it is protected by the safeguards the GDPR allows, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses used by these providers.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t turn into a project: up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Client and invoicing records: for as long as Australian tax law requires (currently 5 years).
- Hosting logs: for the short period our hosting provider keeps them.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- see the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct it if it’s wrong;
- delete it, or limit how we use it;
- object to us using it;
- receive it in a portable format.
Just email hello@fusco-studio.com. We’ll reply within one month. If you’re not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es) or, in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Cookies
This website only stores a few small preferences (such as light or dark mode) and no tracking cookies. See our cookie policy for the full list.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we only share data with the providers listed above. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.
Children
This website is for businesses and isn’t aimed at children. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
